Happy weekend! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am finally almost registered for classes, now that we’re two weeks into the semester! I have submitted the classes I want to take, or modules as they’re called here, but it will take another week for them to be processed. At which point, I have to double check they show up correctly in my student portal before my registration is complete. But, I believe this will be my class schedule:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday – Architecture History & Theory 10am -1pm, Physics Lecture 3-4pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wednesday – Cognition 9-11am, Physics Lecture 1-2pm, Irish History 2-4pm, UST Irish Folklore 6-9pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday – Physics tutorial 9-10am, Physics Lab 11am-1pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wednesday is definitely a long day (this week was especially bad because my architecture class was moved to Wednesday, so I had class from 9am-4pm straight \ud83d\ude41 ), but otherwise it is nice to have Monday and Friday off!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the main building, where I have my architecture class and one of my physics lectures. This place is a maze. All of the buildings here start at G, not level 1, but this one also has levels L and M before you get to level 1. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

But more confusing is the sectioning of the building. It is a donut with areas A-D spread out around the building. But, it’s a donut with a bunch of little nooks and crannies that hide the lecture halls you need to be in. Also, within the letter blocks, the room numbers on the left side of the hallway do not correspond to the numbers on the right, so you hardly ever know if you’re actually going in the right direction. I’ve managed to get to my classes in there so far, but every time I leave it takes a second for me to orient myself in relation to the rest of campus. Anyways, below is the library:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don’t have to buy any books here because the library stocks all of them. Which is maybe secretly a ploy to get kids to actually go the library, but I think its kind of fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the Kemmy Business School where I have my UST Folklore and Fairytales class. All of the orientation events took place here too.<\/p>\n<\/div>

This is the building UL Gobal is in! They have resources for and host many events for international students. I was selected to be a UL Global Ambassador this semester, which means I get to contribute content to their social media and blog pages!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The campus is divided into North and South by the River Shannon. On one side of the bridge is County Limerick, while the other side is County Clare. So, it’s a big deal here when County Clare and Limerick play each other in sports!<\/p>\n<\/div>

This is my favorite building on campus! I like it because it kind of looks like a Rube Goldberg machine. It’s right on the side of the bridge entering County Clare. I have my physics tutorial here. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Just a bit further down the River Shannon is UL’s boathouse! It’s just a little nicer than St. Thomas’s erg room \ud83d\ude02<\/p>\n\n\n\n
