I arrived in Ireland at 7:30 Thursday morning! We were stuck sitting in the airport for quite some time because our bus to campus didn’t leave until 10:30am. So, a couple girls and I got coffee and pastries to pass the time —
making a chocolate croissant and iced latte my first meal in Ireland! We then had a two hour bus ride to campus. We stopped once at the “Obama Plaza” which included a museum dedicated to Obama. We thought it was hilarious that was the first place we went in Ireland.
Once we arrived, we were given our room assignments and about fifteen minutes to drop off our luggage before heading to a shopping mall. We were all a bit frazzled at that point — trying to figure out what you need to buy before even opening your suitcase is a bit challenging.
Afterwards, we had a nice dinner at a nearby pub, took a cold shower (apparently we only get warm water from 6:30am-8:30am and 4:30pm-6:30pm, which we didn’t know at that point 🙁 ), unpacked, and crashed.
On Friday, we had orientation from 8:30am-2:15pm. A bit boring, but at least my bus pass is on its way! Then, a group of us walked to the nearest grocery store and had to take the bus back with all of our bags.

I am liking it a lot here! It’s beautiful and so far not too rainy!
